SS United States set to be sunk off Destin, Florida, in the second week of November
The 990-foot liner, in Mobile since March 2025, will rest 180 feet down about 22 nautical miles off Destin-Fort Walton Beach, overtaking the nearby USS Oriskany as the largest ship reef.
