Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Badiyaa (badiyaa.com) collects, why, and the choices and rights you have, including under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA).

Who we are

Badiyaa is a news website owned and published by Rezilient Digital, Fl No 3, Nav Shyam Sadan, Plot No 38, Pestom Sagar, Chembur, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400089, India. Rezilient Digital is the controller of the personal data described in this policy (and the data fiduciary for the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). For questions about this policy or your data, email badiyaavideo@gmail.com.

What we collect

You can read Badiyaa without an account, and we do not take comments or run reader sign-ups. The only personal data processed when you visit is technical information that our web server and hosting provider record in standard logs: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page and the time of the request.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.

Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to count visits and understand which stories readers find useful. It records information such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google does not store) and your device type, using first-party cookies. We have switched off Google signals and all advertising and personalisation features, and we do not use advertising cookies.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set if you choose Accept on our cookie banner; if you choose Reject, or do nothing, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Our legal basis for analytics in those regions is your consent; elsewhere it is our legitimate interest in understanding readership. We also honour Global Privacy Control signals.

Cookies are also used for administrators who sign in to manage the site.

Each article shows an anonymous read count and a Like button. Counting a read stores nothing about you. If you press Like, your browser remembers that you liked that article (in its local storage, not a cookie) so the button stays highlighted, and our server keeps a one-way scrambled form of your IP address for up to 24 hours only to stop repeat likes. Share buttons are plain links: nothing is sent to a social network unless you click one.

Why we use it (legal bases under GDPR)

  • Server logs: to deliver pages, keep the site secure and prevent abuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
  • Emails you send us: to reply to you and handle corrections, complaints or takedown requests. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding, or steps you ask us to take.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept only for as long as our hosting provider needs them for security and operation, and are then deleted. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Technical data is processed by our hosting provider on our behalf, and analytics data by Google as our processor. We may disclose information if required by law. Our service providers may process data outside your country; where that happens, they are required to protect it with appropriate safeguards.

Your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to data portability. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Your rights under the CCPA (California residents)

In the past 12 months we have collected only internet activity information (the server log data described above) and, if you emailed us, identifiers such as your email address. We collected it for the purposes described in this policy.

  • You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and to request a copy of it.
  • You have the right to request that we delete or correct it.
  • We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. We also honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out request.
  • We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request under the GDPR or the CCPA, email badiyaavideo@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it, and we will respond within the time the law requires.

Children

Badiyaa is a general news site and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Links to other sites

Our articles link to other websites, such as reference material on the topic. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.
