Indian Audiences of the wildly popular Short video app Tik-Tok have taken to twitter in a big way to protest against certain videos considered to be in poor taste and against Indian culture.
While the platform enjoys a very popular presence in rural and semi-urban areas especially among the younger population, it has come under very heavy criticism for not doing enough to flag and take down content that is inappropriate and hurts Indian Culture and sentiments.
As a result Indian users have done what would scare any global app based platform and that is they have made the Tik tok rankings drop considerably.

Some prominent personalities also joined in the online movement which is steadily gaining traction since the last few days.
If a platform is not self regulating, or doesn’t have an effective mechanism to prevent misuse by anti-social, then platform is complicit in crime
What does it takes to Ban such Platform?
Why BJP Govt is such deep slumber !!

It certainly looks like India’s newest social platform has run into very rough weather and unless they get their act together, the future seems uncertain.
