Today, 21 June 2020, the world will celebrate International Yoga Day to spread awareness about the importance and effects of Yoga on people’s health. The word Yoga is derived from Sanskrit, which means to join or to unite. International Yoga Day was first started in the year 2015 at Rajpath in New Delhi, and the Ministry arranged AYUSH. Along with the prime minister, Narendra Modi and dignitaries from 84 nations participated in the celebrations and performed 21 yoga asana. This year’s theme for International Yoga Day is Yoga at Home. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, no public mass event has been organized at this time.
In the below list, we will learn five comfortable yoga asana for a healthy and stress-free life. Yoga helps in controlling an individual’s mind, body, and soul. The best time to practice yoga is in the morning before breakfast. Just 15 – 20 minutes Yoga a day can change your brain chemistry and improve your moods. Adding a few poses of yoga can make you emotionally more energetic and healthier.
1.Mountain Pose (Tadasana): It looks like you are standing in a straight position like a mountain. This is also called a standing asana. Stand on your feet and press down all ten fingers. This pose strengthens the thighs, knees, and ankles and is useful in stretching of nerves and muscles.
2.Tree Pose (Vrikasanas): This asana can strengthen and improve your posture. This is similar to Mountain Pose, but in Tree Pose, it requires balance, focus, patience, and practice. Place your right foot on your inner left upper thighs.
3. Triangle (Trikonasana): Triangle pose is called Triangle asana. This asana improves digestion and constipation and relieves stress. To start this asana, first, you have to stand straight in (Tadasana) pose, then stretch your right foot out (90 degrees) and your left in about (45 degrees).
4. Relaxed Pose (Sukhasana): It is a simple cross-legged comfortable seated position meditation. This helps you to regulate your breathing, stretch your hip, and strengthen your alignment in your back.
5. Corpse Pose (Shavasana): Lie on your back straight and separate your legs and bring your arms alongside your body. Turn your palms to face upwards. This asana relaxes your whole body, cures insomnia, and releases stress.
