"articleBody": "Star Jones, the lawyer-turned-talk-show veteran who now presides over Divorce Court, won a Daytime Emmy on Friday, October 30, and so did two women better known for primetime and the movies: Tracee Ellis Ross, for a travel show she fronts alone, and Keke Palmer, as a producer of a short-form series on her own KeyTV network. The road to the Hollywood Palladium began on July 14, when the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences published its nominations with The Young and the Restless leading the field. Ross got her nod while making her Broadway debut in Every Brilliant Thing; Palmer was nominated twice; Jones was paired with her Divorce Court colleague Corey Jovan. The full winners list now sits on the academy’s site at theemmys.tv, and the 53rd Daytime Emmy Awards and Creative Arts and Lifestyle pages carry every category. What each of them won Tracee Ellis Ross took Outstanding Travel and Adventure Program for Solo Traveling with Tracee Ellis Ross on The Roku Channel, ahead of Expedition Unknown, Apple’s Long Way Home, The Lovely Lemurs of Madagascar and Superskilled with Eva zu Beck. Keke Palmer lost Outstanding Personality, Non Daily, to Giada De Laurentiis, but Glam Through the Ages, which she produced with Sharon Palmer and Max Wyeth for KeyTV Network, won Outstanding Short Form Program over entries from LinkedIn News, Eater and BYUtv. Star Jones and Jovan shared Outstanding Daytime Personality, Daily, seeing off the on-air teams of Extra, Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood. Divorce Court itself lost the Legal/Courtroom Program award to Justice for the People with Judge Milian. How the night stacked up Here is the Badiyaa scorecard for the three winners, set against the rest of the evening: Jones won as a daily personality, a category that pits courtroom hosts against entertainment-news anchors; Palmer won as a producer; Ross won as the face of her program. Palmer went one for two on the night, Ross and Jones one for one. Sherri Shepherd beat the women of The View, Kelly Clarkson, Tamron Hall and Jennifer Hudson to Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host; we covered her win over the weekend. Both Sherri and The Kelly Clarkson Show have ended their runs, so these were farewell honors. The Kelly Clarkson Show led the Creative Arts side with four awards and also won Outstanding Daytime Talk Series. One room, one stream The academy folded the Creative Arts and Lifestyle categories and the main awards into a single evening in Los Angeles, streamed on the Emmys app and at watch.theemmys.tv rather than on a network. The prizes covered daytime television shown during calendar year 2025. Nobody hosted; announcer Matthew Hoffman brought on the presenters. In the soap categories, Tamara Tunie of Beyond the Gates won lead actress and General Hospital took Outstanding Drama Series. The night closed its honors list with General Hospital actress Genie Francis receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.
