Hollywood actress, Naomi Scott was praised for her competency as Princess Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin live-action movie. During her promotional event for Aladdin in 2019, she was being interviewed, and she recalled the hilarious incident where she was mistaken as Deepika Padukone by a crew member.
In an interview with BBC, the interviewer asked her if the role of Princess Jasmine was inspired by Deepika Padukone, Naomi Scott said, “I have to tell you an amusing story. Do you know Nagada Dhol song? I was playing it on set, and we had American cast and crew for the Aladdin movie. I was playing this song as I loved that song and literally, someone was like,’ it’s so beautiful, is that you? And I replied,’ Yeah, it is me.
Aladdin actress added, “I thought, you could be compared to any person than Deepika, so I will take that because she is beautiful and gorgeous.”
Aladdin was directed by Guy Ritchie, the movie was a massive hit at the box office. For the unread, Naomi Scott is of Indian parentage.
